Dr. Michele Garabedian Stork
Dr. Stork is an Assistant Professor of Educational Technology in the College of Education at Florida Gulf Coast University. She is a published author and has presented nationally in the areas of instructional technology and instructional design, best practices in online teaching and learning, informal learning, and personalized learning technologies. Her current research interests include building multicultural awareness in pre-service teachers using online, synchronous technology, examining the impact of UDL supports in online learning environments, virtual learning experiences on group work and student learning, and the impact of digital integration in the learning environment.
Dr. Stork is a professionally certified K-12 educator in Florida and currently serves as an Executive Board Member and President-elect in the School and Media Technology division of the Association for Educational Communication and Technology (AECT). She is also a member of the Continuous Systemic Improvement School Board Advisory Committee for the School District of Lee County and serves on the leadership council for the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools Mentor Program.
Dr. Stork believes her purpose is to create a collaborative, engaging learning environment where she facilitates students in active inquiry and discovery that promotes opportunities for authentic learning.
